Preston Scott Straus is an indie pop artist, songwriter, and performer whose work blends heartfelt storytelling with a spirit of connection. Originally from Cleveland, OH, Preston began his musical journey as a classical saxophonist and vocalist, performing with the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. Those early years instilled in him a deep love for performance and a lifelong pursuit of creativity as a way to bring people together.

Over the past 14 years, Preston has continued to evolve as an artist, writing and performing music that weaves in themes of love, healing, and spirituality. His songs reflect a desire to create worlds of safety and comfort while drawing from something bigger than himself. Collaborating with producer Jason Pennock in Florida, he released tracks like Home and HeartBright, which capture warmth and resilience. Later, in Los Angeles, he wrote Storm, This Way, and For Love, each carrying elements of spirituality and hope.

Most recently, Preston has been based in Austin, Texas, where he’s been focused on live performance, writing, and reconnecting with the raw joy of making music. His single Don’t Give Up (May) encouraged listeners to stay strong through challenges, while Take Your Time (July 4th) reflected on his first love and the fleeting beauty of a summer romance. Through each release, Preston seeks to find the silver lining of his experiences and inspire others to do the same.
